Varsity baseball defeated Bellarmine 4-3 in extra innings on Tuesday. Michael Perazzo put the ball in play with one out and a runner on third. The Bellarmine shortstop made a play on the ball but Michael hustled down the baseline and forced an errant throw and the runner on third scored the winning run.
On Friday, behind a complete game from Ian Josephson, the Padres beat SI 9-1. Sammy Rivas had 4 RBI's including a two-run homerun.
On Saturday, the Padres fell at Mitty 8-2, leaving the league record at 5-5, tied for third place.
JV Baseball defeated Bellarmine 13-3 on Monday, April 17. Their offensive attack made up for some fielding errors and walks made by the defense.
On Friday JV baseball lost 8-5 to St. Ignatius. Robert Wolfgramm had two hits as did Jack Armstrong. On Saturday, the team defeated Mitty 6-2. Nate Hui pitched four innings for his first win of the year. Robert Wolfgramm had a two run homerun and Kenny Surbaugh had two RBIs.
Freshman baseball was defeated by Bellarmine 7-0 on Tuesday. On Friday the team beat St. Ignatius 2-1 with Kelley Crawford pitching five innings and only allowing one hit. Blake Ayoob came in and pitched the final two innings without giving up a hit. On Saturday, the team lost at home to Mitty 5-2. Aaron Maier had one hit and one RBI. Hector Marquez had a hit and scored a run.
