Serra tennis got back on track last week with impressive victories over their league opponents.
On Thursday, March 30, the Padres consistently ‘aced’ Sacred Heart Cathedral with a 7-0 win, highlighted by No.1 Ben Lipeles and No. 2 Nathan Reynolds both clinching their respective matches in straight sets.
There was also a thrilling come-from-behind win by Ian Ting who after losing his first set 2-6, won the next two sets 7-5, and 10-6.
The following day, Varsity smashed the ball against Riordan with a 6-1 win, highlighted by Ben Lipeles second consecutive straight sets victory. The team’s resilience has them now with a 4-6 record in WCAL standings.
